Otto is a tool that augments the capabilities of FileMaker Server. Otto helps developers automate data migrations, transfer files between servers, create receivers for incoming webhooks, schedule backups, handle application logging, and much more.
Otto comes with a RESTful API, a web admin console that runs on port 3030, and Migrator — a FileMaker file that uses Otto's API to perform migrations, schedule deployments, and complete other useful tasks.
Otto is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux.
How do you access Otto?
Once Otto is installed, you'll access its features in one of three ways: through the Otto web console, with Migrator, or with the Developer API.
The first step is to install Otto on your server. Check out the Mac or Windows Getting Started Guide or Linux Getting Started Guide .
Installed and ready to go? Set up Migrator to start using Otto’s features right away.
